Holder of a Master's degree in international law, I realized at the end of my university career that it was important to evolve in a field that you appreciate. Overnight, I decided to put an end to my parents' dream, who saw in me a future lawyer, to make a living from my passion: sport. Since then, I have covered transfer windows and sports news, trying to keep readers informed as best as possible.

For the first time in several years, Zoumana Camara did not return to the PSG training center this summer to prepare for the next season. After seventeen years of good and loyal service, the man who held the role of U19 coach made the decision to change direction. While waiting for a new project, he returned to his departure.

A 17-year story ended at PSG this summer. Zoumana Camara made the decision to leave the club which had recruited him in 2007. Player, assistant coach then U19 coach, the former defender has experienced almost everything at Paris. After a final stint at the training center, Camara made the decision to end his career and look for a new project that could allow him to take a step forward in his coaching career.

New life for Camara

This Thursday, Camara was the guest of Club of 5. The technician returned to his departure from PSG at the end of last season. “ This summer I found myself with an assumed decision, which I had made. It made me strange because when I saw a few preparation matches, I said to myself that it had started again without me. I rediscovered where the school was. It feels good. When you make a decision that you take responsibility for, mentally you are in a better predisposition than when you suffer something” he blurted.

“The club never put pressure on me”

Camara also took stock of his journey, and shared his pride in having accompanied certain cracks like Warren Zaire-Emery or Sleepy Mayul. « I am satisfied, but not by the progress of the players, but rather by the progress of the players. Sometimes, we ask educators to have results, but they are there to train. The goal is to try to combine the two. And what was great was that the club never put pressure on me” blurted the technician.
