Regarding Nabil Bentaleb, Lille has not given up. The Dogues are hoping for a miracle for the Algerian international.
Toitenham, Schalke 04, Newcastle United, Angers then Lille, Nabil Bentaleb loves adventures. In August 2023, he settled down in the north of France in Lille. But while he had a remarkable season of 27 matches in all competitions, he collapsed during his vacation in June, victim of a heart attack.
The midfield relay player will ultimately be spared but has still not returned to competition. Nothing to worry about the leaders of the Mastiffs who are still hoping for the 28-year-old footballer's return to the field.
“I only think about Nabil’s health. This is the priority of priorities, the rest is secondary. And if there is the slightest risk, we stop everything. We have a pretty crazy dream, it's about being the first in France to bring back a player after that. And this process has been validated in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain… It’s very serious,” confided Olivier Létang.
As a reminder, Nabil Bentaleb's contract with LOSC runs until 2026.
