Football, a family affair

Théo and Enzo, the two brothers, have always played football. Between Théo’s training at ASPTT Caen, Enzo’s at Mondeville, and the matches of the three sportsmen in the family, there have always been plenty of moments to get together around the green rectangle.

Football has linked us all our lives. My mother and father always came to see us.

A feeling shared by his brother Enzo. “My mother was unlucky, she had three guys,” he said. At home, we constantly had football, all week, but it also allowed us to get together. »

An unexpected opportunity to play with family

ESIVO (Fontenay-le-Marmion, May-sur-Orne, Saint-André-sur-Orne, Evrecy), is slowly launching its season in the championship and tinkering due to numerous injuries and some unavailability. Sunday October 6, coach Adrien Deshogues had to compose his squad with 24 players available for two teams. The opportunity to promote club spirit and mobilize veterans. This combination of circumstances leads him to ask Théo if his father, on a weekend in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), is available. Positive response and thirty minutes after his return, Alain packs his bag and wears number 13 of the ESI Vallée de l’Orne with one objective: to play as little as possible. The contract was simple with the coach of the ESIVO flag team: Alain only comes into play if the team leads by two goals.

“Every footballer’s dream”

We must believe that the Foucher brothers absolutely wanted to see their father play with them. Théo is the first to shine, opening the score. He even goes score a doublescoring Mayens’ sixth goal. There was a lot of joy when I scored this penalty. Looking back, I tell myself that it was truly an incredible moment that we experienced.

His two sons share this feeling. “It was really incredible, and even now, talking about it, I still have a lot of emotions,” explains Théo. I think it’s a bit of every footballer’s dream to play like this, with family. » Enzo also evokes a unique moment, which he hopes to relive at the end of the season.
