New major broadcaster of Ligue 1, DAZN would have 500,000 subscribers, or a third of its initial objectives. The offers follow one another.

Seeing the glass half full or half empty is always the dilemma, but the persistent rumors announcing around 100,000 subscribers to DAZN after two months of competition were denied this Saturday, October 12: “It is not our desire to comment on figures, apart from that of 100,000 which is nonsense. It is a poor understanding of the enthusiasm of Ligue 1 fans to think that there are only 100,000 people capable of subscribing.”corrects Brice Daumin, the French DG of the British platform in the newspaper The Teamwithout wanting to say more. For its part, the French sports daily estimates the number of DAZN subscribers at 500,000, or a third of the initial objective set at 1.5 million customers.

To continue its rise, DAZN is once again ready to review its copy. Faced with the revolt of followers of French , who considered his pricing policy prohibitive, Brice Daumin announced the launch of two new promotional offers: “From next week and until Classic, we are relaunching the one at €19.99 per month with one connection and another at €29.99 for two simultaneous connections”he declared in The Team. These offers, which follow the first ones already made in recent weeks, are conditional on a one-year commitment. DAZN would count in particular on the Classico OM – PSG to convince new loyalists.

However, at this rate, the objective is still far from being achieved. This leaves him the possibility of lifting a clause to terminate his contract binding him to the Professional Football League until 2029. This can be activated after two years, i.e. in December 2025.
