Loaned by LOSC to USL Dunkerque, in Ligue 2, Ugo Raghouber took advantage of his second start to be decisive for the very first time this season.
This is called a ramp-up. Stuck in National 3, where the LOSC reserve fights every season, Ugo Raghouber (21 years old) continues his progression over the years. Loaned to Le Mans FC in National during the previous financial year (2023-2024), he managed to make his mark there despite a nasty injury (fractured metatarsal) contracted at the start of his Le Mans adventure. To conclude his experience, after 19 matches played, three goals and an assist to his credit, he was a candidate for the title of Revelation of the season at the third national level of French football. Returning to Domaine de Luchin during the summer, he did not convince Bruno Genesio and the Lille management favored a second loan. However, this does not mean that progress has come to a complete halt.
Ugo Raghouber now plays for USL Dunkerque, in Ligue 2, where it took him two months of competition to shake up the hierarchy. First a substitute, he played four games in this form, and today he is seeking a starting place in the Dunkirk midfield. The first encouraging one took place at the end of September, with a draw at the Vélodrome against Martigues (1-1), when you just had to wait for it to be decisive. Last Friday, at the Stade Marcel Tribut, he provided an assist to Yacine Bammou (64′) for the winning goal (2-1) against Stéphane Dumont’s ESTAC Troyes. This is the first time, for his second consecutive start, that he has managed to be decisive by the numbers.
Dunkirk, undefeated since his arrival, is third in Ligue 2 with sixteen points on the clock. All that remains now, for the collective as for the young Dogue, is to continue this momentum over time, with regularity. What is certain is that we will follow this closely.
