Former head of the recruitment unit, Florian Maurice tried to bring Jonathan David to OL. The Canadian striker finally joined LOSC.
Rennes and now Nice. Since his departure from OL in 2020, Florian Maurice has had two other experiences in Ligue 1 including that of Nice since this summer. Now with the title of sporting director, the former striker nevertheless continues to take pleasure in unearthing some good deals on the transfer market. He is no longer a member of a recruitment unit like in his time in Lyon, however, this role of DS still allows him to operate his network. If he remains, with Juninho, one of the protagonists of a wasteful and failed transfer window between Rhône and Saône in the summer of 2019, Florian Maurice had carved out a good reputation with his training club.

Water has flowed under the bridge since his departure and Maurice took experience. However, he never misses an opportunity to look back on his Lyon adventure of ups and downs.
