More than a year and a half after his injury, Presnel Kimpembe has still not returned to the field.

French international central defender, Presnel Kimpembe (28 caps) has not played since February 2023. Victim of a ruptured Achilles tendon, the kid resumed training this summer to resume competition with the Franciliens, but a relapse visited him, hence his absence since.

Kimpembe, a forgotten player at PSG

Saint-Germain has started its new season in Ligue 1 in a very good way. The French champions, despite the departure of their star Kylian Mbappé, have convinced. In five outings in the French championship, PSG has snatched four victories and then made a disappointing draw against in the last outing. A group that has been living well for over a year without Presnel Kimpembe on whom the club is counting for the future by renewing his contract at the end of last year.

The player picked up an injury in February 2023, which has kept him off the pitch ever since. Having undergone surgery twice for his ruptured Achilles tendon, the 29-year-old defender is still off the pitch. In July, Kimpembe resumed collective training with the Parisian group in preparation for the new season. But the Beaumont-sur-Oise native suffered a relapse.

Kimpembe resumes training

Left out of the group to train on the sidelines after he felt discomfort in his leg, the Frenchman does not know when he will return to action. But there is some good news. After the draw in Reims (1-1) this weekend, the Parisians resumed training this Tuesday. In the photos of the said session published by the Parisian club on its website, we can see Presnel Kimpembe training.

News confirmed by Djamel, close to PSG, who indicates that the player took part in part of the training with his partners without however playing the oppositions. This is already good news for Kimpembe, PSG and its supporters, who are impatient to see the Frenchman again.

Furthermore, Vitinha and Désiré Doué did not take part in Tuesday’s session with the group. The former Stade Rennais player was injured in the ankle during the match against Stade de Reims (1-1). As for him, the Portuguese player reportedly felt a little discomfort.
