Born in Marseille, Romain Alessandrini lived a dream by signing for OM in 2014. The attacking midfielder discovered the overheated atmosphere of the Vélodrome. An enthusiasm that can sometimes push players to surpass themselves, and in some cases, put such pressure that it becomes impossible to stay. Alessandrini recounted his personal experience.

Alessandrini opens up about his departure
The attacking midfielder stayed at theOM. But slowly, the dream turned into a nightmare for Alessandriniprecisely because of this strong pressure. In 2017, he made the decision to go far away, in MLS. Now retired from the field, he returned to his departure from the‘OM.
“Sometimes it’s a little too much”
” I signed for OM because I was from Marseille and it was my childhood dream. I also left for these reasons because sometimes it’s a bit too much. Sometimes, everything goes well on Saturday, but a few days later, that can be another debate. ” confided Alessandrini on the set of Football Club Marseille.
