The “Made in Gaillette” training occupies an important place in the Racing project. What will your relays be at the club to help you achieve these objectives?
“I will rely heavily on the expertise of Eric Sikora (Head of Post-Training) and Eric Assadourian (Academy Director). When you talk to them, it doesn’t take long to gauge the level of knowledge and love they have for RC Lens. “Siko” is a one-club man, you have to listen to him with great interest. We will work together to ensure that post-training is an integral part of the project.
Pierre Dréossi’s ambition is to have a professional team strongly marked by the Lens identity with the presence of players trained at La Gaillette. Racing must become an important training club again. When we look at Rémy Labeau-Lascary, Tom Pouilly or Ismaëlo Ganiou, we see that there are talented players. That’s why it was important to have a coach like Will Still who is obsessed with performance and who gives young players the opportunity to show their qualities. The bridge between the academy and the first team will therefore be made naturally. This also involves a loan policy to allow some, like Fodé Sylla (Yverdon-Sport FC) and Anthony Bermont (FC Annecy), to gain experience.
