Against all expectations, the real challenge arrived at the end of the treatments, when the parents of little Marius, born in 2021, tried to find a semblance of normal life. “At no point do we say to ourselves that it will be more difficult than the previous one. So, we feel guilty […] As he stayed with me because I was sick, I wondered if he would also stay with me as I got better,” she said. “So we went to see a therapist because we didn’t understand what was happening. »
Fortunately, the couple has continued to enjoy happy days for six years now. And if the illness may have put them to a “severe test”, for Alice Detollenaere, there is no doubt that it also proved to her that Camille Lacourt was indeed “the man of [sa] vie ».
