Juventus and Roma numbers

Only against Inter, Juventus have played more matches (182) and collected more victories (87) than against Roma in Serie A: 180 matches played so far against the Giallorossi, for a budget of 86 wins, 42 defeats and 52 draws. Furthermore, the two teams from the capital are the ones against which the Bianconeri have scored the most goals in the competition: 286 against Lazio and 277 against the Giallorossi. Juventus and Roma drew their last league clash1-1 last May at the Olimpico (goals by Romelu Lukaku for the Giallorossi and Bremer for the Bianconeri); the two teams have not drawn two consecutive Serie A matches since March 2006/September 2007. Since 2012, Juventus have won 11 of their 13 home games (1D, 1P) against Roma in Serie A; in the period considered, against no team have the Bianconeri achieved more home successes in the top flight (11 also against Udinese and Fiorentina). Roma have conceded goals in 21 consecutive away games against Juventus in Serie A; the last clean sheet of the Capitoline team on the Bianconeri’s pitch in the tournament dates back to 29 September 2001, in a 2-0 win, with goals from Gabriel Batistuta and Marcos Assunçao: this is the longest open streak of consecutive away matches (21 in fact) with goals conceded for the Giallorossi against a single opponent in the competition. Juventus could win all three of their Serie A games for the first time since 2018/19; furthermore, only three times in their history in the tournament have the Bianconeri obtained three successes in the first three without conceding any goals: in 2014/15, in 2004/05 and in 1986/87. Roma have lost three of their last five Serie A games (1W, 1D), after having suffered only one defeat in the previous 11 (6W, 4D); furthermore, the Capitoline team could fail to win any of the first three matches of a Serie A tournament, for two seasons in a row, for only the second time in their history (the first dates back to 2010/11-2011/12).

“Juventus-Roma is back”, the big match to the tune of Oasis

The clip of Sky Sport celebrates the return of the first big match of Serie A of the season: “Juventus-Roma is back”. In the week of the announcement of the Oasis reunion and the 30th anniversary of their album “Definitely Maybe”, the reference is to the images of the historic challenges between the two teams and to a song from that album, “Live Forever”, which 30 years later remains an unprecedented classic. Renewed by the magic of the upcoming live shows announced by the band.
