Christian Pulisic capped a memorable week for AC Milan on Sunday.

The US men’s national team standout struck for the opening goal of Milan’s 2-1 win in Italy’s Serie A over archrival Inter in the San Siro Derby in spectacular fashion.

The victory snapped the Rossoneri six-game losing streak against Inter and lifted some of the pressure on coach Paulo Fonseca following a disappointing start to the campaign.

Pulisic intercepted a pass in Inter’s half and raced toward Yann Sommer’s goal in the 10th minute. He bolted past a defenders Francesco Acerbi and Benjamin Pavard before tapping the ball past goalkeeper Yannn Sommer for his third goal of the Serie campaign and four overall. He has scored in four successive matches for club and country against Inter, Liverpool, Venezia and New Zealand (in the USA’s 1-1 draw with New Zealand earlier this month).

Earlier in the week, Pulisic scored for Milan in a 2-1 loss to Liverpool in a UEFA Champions League match.
