Forecast: Warming trend begins, tracking rain potential | Weather

-

Good morning and happy Monday! I hope you enjoyed the fall-like weather over the weekend because the warm temperatures are making a return! We are still dry for most of the week with the potential for rain by the end of the week, nothing certain yet but we will continue to watch those chances.

Warmer, sunny Monday

Temperatures will climb into the lower 80s under mostly sunny skies on this Monday. Winds will be out of the south at 5-10 mph. It will still be a comfortable day with low humidity.

Overnight tonight temperatures will drop into the lower 50s with mostly clear skies. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5-10 mph.

Warming trend continues

Temperatures will gradually warm up into the middle 80s Tuesday and continue into Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows will gradually warm up into the low to mid 60s this week as well. 80s continue into the weekend.

Tracking tropical moisture

I mentioned the chances of rain by the end of the week. These rain chances are uncertain now. Let’s time out what we know. Clouds will increase Thursday into Friday ahead of what is currently Potential Tropical Cyclone Six in the Gulf of Mexico. This batch of tropical moisture will bring heavy rain somewhere along the coast and eventually track north. There is still a lot of uncertainty in the path of the moisture and any small change in track will mean big changes in the forecast.

With that in mind, there is the potential for rain with this moisture but the exact location is still uncertain. We will continue to watch this throughout the week.
