Marine Le Pen, Emmanuel Macron’s “human resources director”? At a time when The head of state is looking for a name for Prime Minister which would not be censored outright by the deputies, the vice-president of the National Rally, Sébastien Chenu, considered that Emmanuel Macron had completely changed his attitude towards his party.

“A few weeks ago, you shouldn’t have spoken to the National Rally” and “today, we’re almost being courted and Marine Le Pen is becoming Emmanuel Macron’s HR director,” he said.

“Marine Le Pen is not Emmanuel Macron’s HR director, the National Rally is not there to validate or invalidate a crazy idea that crosses Emmanuel Macron’s mind every day,” added Sébastien Chenu, before adding however: “We can’t do without us, and that’s a reality.”

Sébastien Chenu assured that the RN will censure any Prime Minister of the New Popular Front, but also the former socialist Prime Minister Bernard Cazeneuve and the LR president of the Hauts-de-France region Xavier Bertrand – names considered by Emmanuel Macron in recent days. With 126 deputies, the RN can have significant weight on the vote of a motion of censure.

The RN deputies will not immediately vote for a motion of censure against a Prime Minister ready to “open the proportional representation file”, who “tackles the immigration, security and purchasing power of the French” projects and who “respects the National Rally as the leading political force”, declared the party’s vice-president.

The head of state is under pressure from all sides to make a choice almost three months after the dissolution that he himself provoked on June 9, and two months after the second round of the legislative elections which resulted in an Assembly without an absolute majority or viable coalition to date.

Another track considered by Emmanuel Macron, according to information from BFMTV: Michel Barnier. The former LR minister is “not at all” in line with the RN’s political line, but Sébastien Chenu “is waiting to listen to him”.
