It’s like THE evening where all those “who matter” in the Toulouse area meet. On Wednesday October 9, the Zénith made its brand new mezzanine available to host the third edition of the TPM Trophies.
“It’s a way of rewarding the creativity of a certain number of actors”explained the president of the Metropolis Jean-Pierre Giran in his introduction.
“But creativity is also often rupture”, continued the former economics professor, recalling his attachment to the concept of “creative destruction” popularized by Joseph Schumpeter.
Over the course of a rather lively evening, trophies were awarded in no less than seventeen categories. The result of the deliberations of a jury made up of elected officials from the Metropolis, agents and external personalities.
Local stars and gems of tomorrow
In the end, the winners, very masculine, also seem to take into account geographical balances, each commune being represented throughout the ceremony.
On stage, a succession of “heavyweights” from the region and historic companies (La Boîte Immo, Charlemagne, Fortil, Matyasi, Jean-Christophe Giol, Monsieur Z) but also other less media-oriented players like Phosphorus (specialized in cybersecurity) or the Hyères start-up Wise Integration.
Winners in the “cultural industry” category, Alexandre Péron and his “Pirates” crew brought a breath of fresh air to the ceremony. The young entrepreneur is developing a very ambitious complex dedicated to e-sport in the old center of Toulon.
Present in all the ceremonies, at this moment, the medalists at the Olympic Games were entitled to their trophy, while the brand new “youth prize” rewarded Léo Carillo, 17 years old, who attended the Golf Hôtel high school in Hyères and star stoves in the making.
