The Top 14 club has just announced that it would relocate its training that day to the facilities of the Rugby club in Revellocated a little less than 30 kilometers from the Tarn sub-prefecture.

The Castres player program

Training for Castres Olympique players is scheduled at 3 pm on the lawn of the municipal stadium of Revel. At the end of this session open to the public, the players will share a moment of conviviality around workshops with the children from the rugby school.

A photo session and signings will conclude this day which will allow young rugby players from Revel to get up close and personal with many international players like Matthew Babillot, Geoffrey Palis, Léone Nakarawa or Jack Goodhue.

This is not a first in Lauragais

The relocation of this Castres Olympique training to the Revel pitch is part of a partnership established between several professional clubs and the Occitanie Region. Objective of this operation: to create bridges between high-level and amateur sport, in particular by allowing young athletes to meet their idols.

It is also within the framework of the same partnership that the Tarn rugby players had already gone to Castelnaudary in April 2023 or the Toulouse Stadium had come to train Villefranche-de-Lauragais in September of the same year.

Strong links between the RCR and the CO

Furthermore, it should be noted that the Revel rugby club maintains strong links with Castres Olympique since it is also part of the galaxy of partner clubs of the Tarnais club.

As such, the rear of the CO, Julien Dumorahad already come to Revel a few weeks ago. He intervened during a training session for the RCR flag team, in order to share his expertise in kicking with the Revel players.
