CA Brive formalizes the arrival of Hendré Stassen as Ross Moriarty's medical joker.
Hendré Stassen started Rugby at a very young age and will progress over the years. He joins the Blue Bulls academy and will debut in the first team during Super Rugby 2017. He is also selected with the South Africa U20 group to participate in the world championship in the category. With the Bulls, he continued his progress in Super Rugby and the Currie Cup. In 2018, he arrived in France at Stade Français. No one expected such an explosion and the young 3rd line became the revelation of the season. Unfortunately, everything is going to fall apart. Everything stops after the match in Montpellier at the end of the season. He tested positive for testosterone and will receive a 4-year suspension. Back in South Africa, he is preparing for his return. After resuming with the Pretoria university team, Tuks Rugby Club, he is signed by the Stormers. He will play 4 matches last season.
Still present in the Stormers squad, Hendré Stassen has not participated in any matches this season. After the outstretched hand of the South African franchise, here is another from Brive who were looking for a replacement for Ross Moriarty following his ankle operation which will leave him on the sidelines for 3 months. Able to play 2nd or 3rd line, Stassen (2m, 120kg) has already taken the temperature in his new team and will fully integrate it to prepare for the arrival of Agen next Thursday.
