The CAB players won 26-16 in and continued with a second consecutive defeat. For its part, Stade Niçois has not won in four matches.

Meeting between two teams that are almost completely opposed at the start of the season. Nice is doing badly and fighting for its survival while Brive is hanging on to stay in the top 6.

Penalties at the heart of the first period

The Brivistes logically opened the scoring with a kick from Verdu after 8 minutes of play. The response from Nice did not take long to arrive. Four minutes later, Ménoret equalized. Similar scenario a few minutes later with a second CAB penalty. Stade Niçois came back straight away.

The flash of this first period came shortly before the half-hour mark. Olding eliminated several players with his speed. The latter managed to serve Féret who only had to flatten. Nice came back to two points thanks to a third penalty just before returning to the locker room.

Carbonneau to cool Nice supporters

Sanctioned with a yellow card at the start of the second half, Nice paid dearly for this numerical inferiority. Lefranc took the opportunity to score a second try for the CAB.

The Brivistes increased the score with a new penalty from Verdu. The Niçois thought they would get back into the match but the try scored by Smiler was ultimately refused. The ball had not crossed the line according to the match referee.

Berenguel finally gave hope to the Nice supporters a few minutes later with a try. While Nice came back to five points, Carbonneau cooled the Marcel Volot stadium. With a lob at the foot, number 21 overtook the defense before going to flatten it.

Brive obtained its second away victory of the season while Nice followed up with a fourth defeat in a row.
