As Actu Rugby notes, these incidents resulted in a heavy sanction for Aviron Bayonnais, namely a fine of 10,000 euros! This sanction fell after the club's hearing by the Disciplinary Commission on November 13, for “Disturbances caused in the sports arena”. We can therefore understand the anger of the club's leaders after these interventions by spectators, contrary to “spirit of solidarity and conviviality which is the pride of Ciel & Blanc“, to use the words of the Aviron press release.
