There were lots of people this weekend on the Albigensian grounds: at the initiative of the SCA, more than 300 young people from all over the region took part in a day of meeting and sharing.

The Sporting Club Albigeois welcomed, last weekend, to the Guitardié sports plain, a little over 330 young players, accompanied by 38 educators, from the clubs of US Marmande, Entente de la Vallée Girou and Stade Toulousain. They participated in a day of exchange and meeting, focused on conviviality and sharing.

The young players, divided into the U8, U10 and U12 categories, were able to get to know each other but also share the joys of the game during joint training. In the afternoon, the teams met for friendly meetings.

In U8, the field was tough with 12 teams. The young players demonstrated a great mastery of the fundamentals of rugby and the pleasure of playing. In U10 and U12, five teams from Stade Toulousain, five teams from SCA, four from Girou valley and four from Marmande, all divided into levels A, B and C, were present. The matches followed one another with a very interesting level of play, testifying to the quality of the work carried out in these four rugby schools.

All the educators from the different clubs highlighted the quality of play during the meetings and were able to discuss the training of the young player during the evening meal organized in the city center. A visit to the Guitardié training center was organized and guided by four players from the SCA professional group.

The young people were able to ask all their questions and discover behind the scenes at the high level. A signing stand allowed young players to leave with some souvenirs and photos.

Exchanges between the different clubs were very fruitful, and sportsmanship reigned supreme. Educators, association volunteers and parents all contributed to this success. Their commitment made it possible to create a festive and friendly atmosphere, conducive to the practice of educational rugby.

See you next year, since the clubs of Stade Toulousain, Marmande and Vallée du Girou have already validated their participation in a second edition. In the meantime, other exchanges with these clubs are being prepared in order to offer young players as many gaming experiences and meetings as possible.
