The reigning double world champions from South Africa defeated Scotland this Sunday late in the afternoon on the pitch at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium. Leading 9-19 at the break, the Springboks continued to impose their law in the second half, eventually winning 15-32. No feat, therefore, for Scotland, who did not, however, do poorly, but who have not beaten South Africa since 2010.
This Sunday, the reigning double world champions from South Africa began their European autumn tour. Officially called the Castle Lager Outgoing Tour, this series of matches played in the northern hemisphere is eagerly awaited by the rugby world. It must be said that the golgoths of South Africa form the best team on the planet and impress all observers with their ferocity. It was therefore in Edinburgh, on the legendary pitch of the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium, that the Springboks were represented for their first meeting played on European soil since their world title won last November at the Stade de France. Against the XV du Chardon, only winner of four of the first twenty-nine clashes between the two countries, the Boks wanted to mark their territory.
