Mathieu Fabre arrived at the USL last season and he settled in very quickly at the club. Very discreet, he has become one of the sure values of the club, to whom he is “unfaithful” with Seven Sud Garonne. He is also part of the RVG (High Speed Rugbymen) section. Versatile at scrum or in the center, he has become one of the important elements of the USL. However, he will have to manage on the pitch and with his family the derby against neighboring Granada, his former club where his brother plays, it will be on December 8.

What they think: Matéo Carrère, line partner, friend: “He’s a player different from the others, he’s on a planet different from us. He sees the game like an alien and what he does with the ball is just crazy, he's our X factor. He's the man who can save a match or make you win it with an action. I remember a match last year against Castelsarrasin where he restarted from the parking lot, the last action of the match, and obtained a penalty in the opposing 22 and saved us the match because our scorer passed the conversion to win in the 83rd minute . In life, he is a boy that I love very much, a friend, a brother and I hope that we will play together for a few more years, even if he deserves to reach the highest levels of French rugby because he he is a player full of talents and surprises! »

Olivier Argentin, USL coach: “He is an extremely endearing, hard-working, discreet boy. He always has a smile, he's a great teammate. In terms of rugby, he is an instinctive player, coaches dream of having players like him. He's a boy who never misses any training, and who has a great tactical sense (then he'll understand that I'm making fun of him!). Despite his size, he remains formidable on the pitch, he never misses a tackle, recovers from lost situations in advance. He is a very good recruit for the USL. »
