The recent Olympic champion was also questioned on the issue of acceptance of homosexuality in the world of sport, showing optimism while remaining lucid on the current state of the issue: “It’s very slow. There was [des évolutions] because there were people who spoke up. But it is still a subject that is still taboo. For example, in professional rugby, we only have one player who has come out. Whereas I think that, statistically, there must still be others. It’s still just as hard today to take responsibility even if I think that society is evolving and that we are an open-minded environment. We would be ready to accept this without any problem”.
