This British couple, both relationship experts, explains to NBC News how this rule allowed them to resolve their conflicts during a period of uncertainty. Instead of launching into an argument without a framework that can quickly spiral out of control, the barriers set by 5-5-5 allow each partner to express themselves, to be listened to, to learn to manage tensions and, finally, to dialogue.
