Jean-Michel Jarre has released his mixes from the closing ceremony on platforms

After Olympic ceremonies that gave pride of place to French Touch with Cerrone, Phoenix, Kavinsky and Air, the closing concert of the Paralympics put the spotlight on French electro with Kavinsky, Martin Solveig and Cassius in particular.

The one-hour concert, themed “Paris is a party”, began with Jean-Michel Jarre, a pioneer of electro. The artist played three songs – Paris Stadium, Industrial Revolution P2 Stadium et Time Machine Stadium.

Jean-Michel Jarre immediately put the three tracks online on streaming platforms. They are brought together in a mini EP of about twelve minutes entitled Paris Stadium.

23 electro stars

During the evening, 23 big names in electro music took to the stage at the Stade de France, where some 4,400 para-athletes and numerous volunteers were present one last time.

The director of ceremonies for the Paris Olympic Games, Thierry Reboulsaid last month that the original music for the Games, composed by Victor Le Masneshould soon be available on CD and on platforms.

Musician, producer and arranger, Victor Le Masne is notably the author of the Olympic anthem, Parademixing pop, symphony orchestra, choirs and electro loops typical of the French Touch, heard in particular during the opening ceremony on the 26th.
