Lichouki Dejean’s vibrant tribute to his brother Lilian, killed in Grenoble

An emotion that is still extremely strong. Two days after the death of his brother Lilian Dejean, a municipal agent of the city of Grenoble shot dead after trying to stop a driver responsible for a road accident, his brother, Lichouki, paid tribute to him again on Tuesday, September 10 on BFMTV.

“He was someone proud, courageous, respectable, who loved justice and had a big heart, who gave a lot to those around him. He leaves a big void,” he said.

Then, Lichouki also wanted to thank all the participants in the gathering held on Monday in memory of Lilian. “It’s a very beautiful gathering, it was a very good support for all of us, family, friends, colleagues. You did me good, thank you all,” he added.

“He doesn’t take responsibility”

As for the substance of the case, while the shooter has been identified but remains on the run, Lichouki wanted to send a direct message to the fugitive.

“He’s a coward, he doesn’t take responsibility, he’s not responsible. But it won’t last very long, he should remember my brother’s first and last name because it will haunt him all his life. He’ll be caught, I’m sure of it, I trust the police,” he insists.

And the latter added: “I am waiting for a trial and for him to be convicted for his actions, since he is a repeat offender who has a hell of a record. I am waiting for him to pay for the horrible act, and I think he will never get enough.”

On the current situation in the city of Grenoble, Lichouki points out “a city in insecurity” with “violence that has been increasing for 20 or 30 years.” “It continues, it’s horrible. With no security, no video surveillance, no more officers, I have little time to live in this city,” he concludes.

Suspect “actively sought”

On Monday, a man known to the justice system, particularly for “drug trafficking” was identified and is “actively sought” for the murder of Lilian Dejean.

“A suspect in the murder of Lilian Dejean has been identified and is being actively sought,” announced the Grenoble public prosecutor, Eric Vaillant, on Monday evening.

The suspect’s crashed car, a powerful Audi RS3 with Polish license plates, was a rental vehicle, according to the prosecutor.
