Design Week is being held in Paris until Saturday: 450 venues are offering to give us a glimpse of global design, this discipline at the crossroads of arts, sciences and technologies that seek to make our environment and everyday objects more functional. The African continent is still underrepresented, but also shows its know-how.

Professionals, collectors or simply design lovers have made Paris a great playground for discoveries this week.

The African continent is struggling to make the place it deserves on the world stage, even though the Kinshasa “design week” will be held in November, recalls our journalist. Isabelle Chenu.
