Amir unveils “Supernova”, a song in tribute to the victims of the Hamas attack at the Nova festival

Amir pays tribute to the victims of the attack of October 7, 2023. In Supernovaa new song released on Thursday, September 5, the 40-year-old singer discusses the massacre at the Israeli festival Tribe of Nova, one of the places targeted by the vast Hamas terrorist operation, which left 1,199 victims, mostly civilians, according to an AFP count based on official data.

364 people died at the festival site in the Negev desert on the day of the attack. SupernovaAmir puts himself in the shoes of a young man who falls under the spell of a festival-goer, before the party descends into horror:

“It’s no longer time to party / Run, run / It’s too late to kiss,” sings the French-Israeli artist.

“A wound still open”

Last July, Amir spoke to Pure Charts about this upcoming title: “If we were outraged by what happened at the Bataclan, we can only be outraged by this,” the singer continued, referring to “a wound that is still open for (him).”

“They thought they would spend the night dancing with their friends, and they found themselves attacked at dawn by thousands of missiles, by hundreds of terrorists who landed with weapons,” he described.

Supernova is extracted from C Amirthe singer’s fourth album to be released this Friday, September 13. Two singles, Summit et Complementaryhave already been revealed.

War has been raging between Israel and Hamas since the October 7 attack, with the Jewish state vowing to destroy the Islamist movement. Israeli reprisals have left more than 40,000 dead in Gaza according to Hamas’s Health Ministry, including many civilians, women and children. The Israeli army has been relentlessly bombing the Gaza Strip for ten months, causing a humanitarian and health disaster denounced by the UN.
