Devastated, the parents of the young rugby player Medhi Narjissi (17 years old), who disappeared at sea in South Africa two weeks ago, spoke to TF1.

Jalil Narjissi continues. “There are no words. This is the horror we are living. Our son left for what he loved most. Today, we have nothing left.”The Narjissi family also pointed the finger at the management of the young French team. “We tell them our desire and he doesn’t come back. It’s because there was a mistake. And then the conditions, from what we saw, I don’t even understand how this mistake could have happened.”.

Justice seized

This Tuesday, we learned that Medhi Narjissi’s parents had contacted the Agen public prosecutor’s office “researching the causes of the disappearance”as explained by Me Édouard Martial, lawyer for the player’s parents and sister. “I have asked the public prosecutor to open an investigation to find out the causes of the disappearance which will allow the investigating judge to hear all the members of the management”he had declared to theAFP. Internally, the French Rugby Federation (FFR) has also opened an investigation.
