D-Day for the Para-triathlon

  • From 08:15 – Para triathlon

It’s finally the big day for the para-triathlon. After the postponement of the event, which was supposed to take place yesterday, the para-triathletes will set off this Monday morning at 8:15 am from the Pont Alexandre III. In the streets of Paris, they will have the opportunity to experience an unforgettable moment carried by a crowd that promises to be excited. Among them, around twenty French people, divided into the different categories, will try to win medals with the main representative, the French flag bearer Alexis Hanquinquant.

The Mazur/Noel pair plays for Bronze

  • 09:20 – Para badminton mixed doubles SL3-SU5

Faustine Noel and Lucas Mazur will they win a second medal in two Paralympic Games, after the silver won in Tokyo in 2020. This Monday, they will fight for a bronze medal against the Thai pair composed of Siripong Teamarrom and Nipada Seansupa. This would be the third medal for Lucas Mazur who had done the double by winning the individual title in Tokyo. He is also still in the running to retain his title in Paris.

Aurélie Aubert in the final of the Boccia

A memorable day awaits Aurélie Aubert this Monday. The player who started boccia in 2010 in a youth center, finishing 4th in her first French championship in 2012, will compete in her first Paralympic final. For this, she will be accompanied by her guide Claudine Llop. For this final duel, she will face Singaporean Tan Yee Ting Jeralyn.

Alexis Hanquinquant the title or nothing

  • 12:25 p.m. – Men’s Paratriathlon PTS4

Alexis Hanquinquant is the favourite to succeed himself for a new Paralympic gold medal in PTS4, three years after his Tokyo victory. Having had his right leg amputated in 2013, he has become one of the leading figures in para-athletics in France, to the point of being designated flag bearer for the French delegation for the opening ceremony with Nantenin Keita. Undefeated for 26 races and the month of August 2019, he will have only gold in his mind tomorrow when he starts his race on the Pont Alexandre III.

The Blues of Blind Football face Brazil

Shock in sight for the Blues of Blind Football. After the first match against China, the Blues, silver medalists at the London Olympics before the disappointment of the Tokyo Games, continue their competition against Brazil this Monday. A decisive match for the French who will then challenge Turkey, against whom the tricolors will not be favorites. Qualification in the last four will not be easy in a very high-level competition which is played on the magnificent site of the Eiffel Tower.
