A suspicious package was discovered this Wednesday morning, at 9:10 a.m., in the banking district, reveals «20 Minutes». Rue François-Diday was therefore immediately cordoned off by the police. The police, firefighters and Nedex (neutralization, removal, destruction of explosives) intervened.
-According to Lake Geneva Bluedue to the presence of explosives, the file will be examined by the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPC). Is there a link between this event and the parcel bomb affair in Saint-Jean in August and in Grange-Canal? The MPC responds that the ongoing investigations do not currently exclude any leads: “After the first investigative acts and the urgent measures taken by the police and the Geneva Public Prosecutor’s Office, the case was taken over by the OAG. In this context, investigations are underway to determine the origin and exact nature of the contents of the package.”
