Aliou Sané asks for clarification

During his intervention on the Grand Jury program this Sunday, January 19, the leader of the citizen movement “Y’en a marre”, Aliou Sané, returned to the file of the Senegalese Rural Electrification Agency (ASER), calling for more transparency and clarification regarding this matter. Aliou Sané expressed his astonishment at the events surrounding ASER, stressing that there have been numerous debates and questions on this issue. “There are a lot of things that have happened regarding ASER, and clarification needs to be made,” he said. He notably criticized the behavior of party president Pastef, who, according to him, should not have intervened publicly during a political meeting to “whitewash” the director of ASER.

The leader of “Y’en a marre” insisted on the fact that justice must be the only one competent to decide on this type of case. “On all these cases, it is justice which must decide,” he affirmed, thus reiterating his call for fair and impartial treatment of current cases.
Aliou Sané also spoke of the challenges facing the new regime. He stressed that it is up to the administration in place to respond effectively to these issues to restore citizen confidence.

Finally, the activist insisted on the need for transparent and responsible management of public affairs. And he called for justice to be allowed to do its work without political interference.
