Adaptations of video games into films or series are increasingly popular on streaming platforms. After the success of The Last of Us on Max and Fallout on Prime Video, it's actually not surprising that everyone wants a piece of the pie.
Netflix is not missing. But unlike its competitors, it is more towards animation that the streaming platform is turning to bring popular video game franchises to life. The streaming giant has had great success with Arcanethe series inspired by League of Legendsand she doesn't intend to stop this momentum.
To give you an overview of current projects, the guide below focuses on the video game adaptations that will soon be added to Netflix's arsenal. What series are adapted from video games coming to Netflix?
Devil May Cry
The successful video game created by Hideki Kamiya and developed by Capcom will be entitled in the course of 2025 to its animated series version signed Adi Shankar (Castlevania). The game was already adapted into a 12-episode anime broadcast in Japan in 2007, but this new production could benefit from several seasons according to Shankar's plans.

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch
Spy video games Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell feature Sam Fisher, a former Navy SEALS who becomes an elite agent for a secret NSA entity called Tier 4.
It is this hero that Netflix subscribers will be able to follow in the animated series Splinter Cell: Deathwatch which will soon be released on the platform. In the original version, Fisher is played by Liev Schreiber (A Perfect Couple).
This animated series is created by Ubisoft Film & Television and conducted by Sun Creature and Fost studios. It should have two seasons for a total of 16 episodes, all directed by Guillaume Dousse and Félicien Colmet-Daage. Its head writer is Derek Kolstad (John Wick).
Released in 2025.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft – Saison 2
Since October 2024, fans of the franchise Tomb Raider can discover the adventures of Lara Croft taking place after the events of the trilogy Survivor video games in the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft.
This series takes the famous adventurer on a quest across the world, where she finds herself confronted with her true nature. Its adventures are far from over, because Netflix has renewed this show for a second season.
In season 2 of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croftstill produced by Legendary Television, animated by Powerhouse Animation and written by Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Legacy of Blood), it will be a question of seeing Lara (voiced in original version by Hayley Atwell) become the heroine that fans of the games Tomb Raider know.
