In the European Union (taking into account the average result in the 11 EU countries surveyed), only 22% of citizens think that the return of Trump will be a “good thing” for their country, 29% believe that it will be beneficial for world peace.

It is in the United Kingdom that distrust of the future American president is strongest, with 50% of those questioned having a negative judgment.

In Ukraine, at war with Russia, the majority of respondents are cautious. 26% think that the American billionaire’s return to business will be a “good thing” for their country, but above all 55% do not have an opinion.

This survey was carried out in November 2024, just after the election of Donald Trump with a sample of 28,549 people, in 24 countries including 16 European countries (Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, , Germany, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Poland , Romania, Portugal, United Kingdom, Ukraine, Russia, Switzerland, Turkey) and eight outside Europe (India, Brazil, Indonesia, China, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea and United States).
