Ivanka Trump clearly has bitter memories of her experience at the White House, where she worked as an advisor to her father during his first term. While Donald Trump had just announced that he was once again seeking power, the businesswoman quickly made it known that she would not get involved in the campaign. Ditto for her husband Jared Kushner, who had been appointed senior advisor to the president. And despite her father’s victory against Kamala Harris, Ivanka Trump will not change her mind: politics, very little for her.
“I hate politics,” she simply blurted out Monday to Lauryn and Michael Bosstick, presenters of the podcast “The Skinny Confidential Him & Her.” “There is a form of darkness in this world that I don’t really want to welcome into mine,” explained the forty-year-old, who knows she is “at the heart of the storm because my father is going to be president.” The businesswoman persists and signs: “But it’s a very dark and negative business and some people like this “gladiator” side. It was never for me.”
Relations between Ivanka Trump and her father, however, remain good, and the forty-year-old intends to play a role during her second term, reports the Huffington Post. “Now that I have taken a step back, I am especially looking forward to being able to be by his side as a daughter. To be there to allow him to take his mind off things, to watch a film with him or a match (…),” she imagines. Since the end of Donald Trump’s first term, Ivanka has spent happy days in Florida with her husband Jared and their three children Arabella, Joseph and Theodore.
