The anniversary of Zola's “J'accuse” reinterpreted by the Nièvre Rural Coordination

The Rural Coordination of Burgundy-Franche-Comté took up an anniversary day, January 13, 1898 Émile Zola published I accuseto denounce this Monday, January 13, 2025 “the inaction and contempt of the President of the Republic, of successive governments and of those who make up the State, against a rural monce, in agony, betrayed and abandoned by those who claim to govern for all.”

Also on the offices of Nivernais parliamentarians

Inspired by Zola's article, the Nièvre Rural Coordination posted a text at the beginning of the afternoon on the gates of the Nièvre prefecture, in front of the Place de la Résistance in , denouncing the “ignored cries of distress (…) the inaction which pushes farmers to the brink (…) the cowardice of successive governments (…) the fine speeches of the State which pretends to to be moved by human tragedies (…) as well as the silence of society as a whole “which is weakly outraged without ever acting, which obtains supplies at a lower cost to the detriment of its health”.

The activists of Rural Coordination 58 including Lydie Deneuville, candidate for the future chamber of agriculture, then put up this same poster in front of the offices of Nivernais parliamentarians, senator Joly, deputy Goulet, deputy Guibert in Nevers, then senator Sollogoub in Cosne-sur-.
