Two police officers were injured on Sunday morning, one of them more seriously, in Valencia while they tried to arrest the driver of a stolen car, a police source said.
The car, a Tesla, was stolen on Sunday around 5:30 a.m. during a homejacking in Ardèche, according to this source, confirming information from the daily “Le Dauphiné Libéré”.
The vehicle was then spotted in the center of Valencia and police officers from the city police station then attempted to arrest the driver.
He “intentionally drove into the police car while the police were getting out of the vehicle,” said the police source.
One was seriously injured in the lower limbs while the second was more lightly injured, also in the lower limbs.
Two suspects were finally arrested and taken into custody.
