To comply with European regulations, French banks must stop charging for their instant transfer service. From January 9, it becomes completely free.
From this Thursday January 9THE French banks are now required to offer a service of totally free instant transferallowing funds to be transferred in less than ten secondsin accordance with the European regulations.
Until now, those who wanted to make an instant transfer had to pay a fee of one euro. To avoid this payment, many opted for classic transferfree, but whose processing time was approximately 48 hours. A major inconvenience when you want to make a transfer quickly.

A service available continuously
Following a European regulation adopted on March 13, French banks are now forced, from January 9, 2025, to no longer charge their customers for an instant transfer. This service will now be available 24/7.
For establishments that have not yet implemented this paid instant transfer option, they must offer it by October 9, 2025 at the latest.
