Senegalese Radio and Television (RTS) and the National Oilseed Marketing Company of Senegal (Sonacos) have signed a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening the visibility of Sonacos products while reaffirming their common public service mission.
During the signing, El Hadj Ndane Diagne, Director General of Sonacos, welcomed this collaboration which, according to him, marks a new stage for the two institutions. “We returned to RTS to realize what we started in terms of perspectives. This partnership is the result of discussions started several months ago,” he declared.
According to Mr. Diagne, the RTS is going through a phase of dynamic transformation to once again become “a new RTS, serving the public”. This renewal aligns with the ambitions of Sonacos, which aspires to strengthen its presence on the market through better visibility of its products. “RTS is the leading channel, best placed to support our marketing campaign,” he added.
The partnership thus provides for a synergy between the two entities to promote Sonacos products and support communication efforts around the peanut marketing campaign.
El Hadj Ndane Diagne also expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in the current peanut marketing campaign. According to him, in just two weeks, Sonacos exceeded the milestone of 25,000 tonnes collected, a record compared to previous years. “Today we are at nearly 35,000 tonnes, which demonstrates major progress,” he said, highlighting the efforts made to improve the company's performance.
This RTS-Sonacos partnership embodies a shared desire to modernize communication tools and strengthen the efficiency of Senegalese public services. This is an important step to support economic recovery and promote local agricultural products through better visibility on the national and international market.
With this agreement, the two institutions commit to working together to best serve the interests of producers and consumers, while contributing to the development of the Senegalese agro-industrial sector.
