T-Man Holding of the Raji group inaugurated a new Alsa production line on Thursday at its Matheï industrial complex in Bouskoura, in the presence of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ryad Mezzour.

This development is the result of a strategic partnership with Dr. Oetker, a German agri-food group and owner of the Alsa brand, and constitutes a significant step forward in the industrial integration strategy of the Moroccan group.

The process of this new Alsa production unit is a logical continuation of the site’s other industrial activities, for an annual capacity of 10,000 tonnes.

Local production of this new agri-food category makes it possible to raise the industrial infrastructure of the Matheï complex to the highest standards of international quality.

Speaking on this occasion, Mezzour affirmed that this extension of the Matheï complex aligns perfectly with the Kingdom’s industrial vision aimed at strengthening Morocco’s food sovereignty.

According to the minister, T-Man Holding demonstrates, with this project, the importance of international partnerships to boost and sustain the national economy.

The growth prospects are promising, with international markets to conquer which represent nearly five times the size of the local market, he estimated, adding that this unit represents real pride and illustrates Moroccan excellence thanks to equipment cutting-edge technologies and very high quality partners.

For his part, the president of Matheï, Hamid Raji, indicated that the new Alsa line is a natural extension of the group’s historic activities in tea and sugar.

It reflects Matheï’s ambition to go ever further in industrial integration, by offering quality products, accessible and manufactured in Morocco, he argued. Raji also specified that the new Alsa line will meet growing demand and contribute to the creation of local jobs and the development of technical skills among teams.

For his part, Georg Heerdegen Parsbo, member of the International Executive Board of the Dr. Oetker group, emphasized that “Alsa is an iconic brand that supports families in their moments of sharing,” noting that this strategic partnership with T-Man Holding reinforces Dr. Oetker’s commitment to Morocco, with local products meeting international standards of excellence.

Founded in 2005, the Matheï complex has become a major player in the Moroccan agri-food industry thanks to its three production units. It houses a green tea blending and packaging unit, with an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes, representing nearly a third of national consumption, as well as a sugar processing unit dedicated to export, aiming for annual capacity of 30,000 tonnes.

Created in 1936, T-Man Holding is a major player in the Moroccan economy, present in the food industry, distribution, agriculture and real estate sectors. Active in 20 countries, the group employs 1,800 people.
