In its desire to constantly enrich the hearing experience, Samsung in July 2024 unveiled its new wireless headphones, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro. Their in-ear design, which fits into the ear canal, features a completely redesigned design, incorporating new luminous temples compared to previous models.

When investing in headphones, sound quality is essential. Samsung meets this expectation with two amplifiers and a two-way speaker, including a planar tweeter. If you use them with an iPhone, the SBC and AAC codecs are enough for a simple and effective experience but nothing more. On the other hand, with a Samsung smartphone, the dedicated application offers additional settings and, above all, 24-bit/96 kHz sound, ideal for music lovers who appreciate the smallest details as recorded.

I tested the Galaxy Buds3 Pro with a Pixel Fold, and although full access to advanced features, like Galaxy AI (which improves noise reduction and allows real-time translation, voice restoration, spatial sound) , is not available. L’application Wear sur Android nevertheless offers a wide range of possibilities, in particular: management of quality and sound effects (equalizer, adjust the sound according to the position of your headphones and the shape of your ears) headphone controls (pinch with 6 functions) configure headphones (8 menus), earphone location.

During your running sessions, it is essential to hear the sounds of your surroundings for safety reasons. The app allows you to adjust voice detection and sirens, while also enabling ambient sound during calls. I run by the sea sometimes with a lot of wind, they are not bad with active noise cancellation, you can adjust the level of active noise cancellation.

A design evolution for unparalleled comfort

Galaxy Buds3 Pro offers listeners an immersive sound experience. For those who prefer a less intrusive format, the Galaxy Buds3 promise the same listening comfort thanks to their open type design. These two models present an interesting novelty: the addition of branches that optimize voice pickup by bringing the microphones closer to the user's face, in addition to allowing more intuitive smartphone control. The case can be charged wirelessly including on your smartphone like the Pixel Fold or via USB-C, a practical detail for users on the go.

In my opinion, Samsung offers a convincing performance with the Buds3 Pro, but their technological exclusivity and a few small flaws risk putting off users outside the Galaxy ecosystem. On the other hand, for fans of the Samsung universe, these headphones represent an excellent choice, offering a premium audio experience perfectly suited to even the most sporty users. ????
