Moroccans reiterate their support for Palestine

On the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, political parties, civil society actors and other personalities gathered to reiterate their support.

After more than a year of war in Gaza, supporters of the Palestinian cause wanted to commemorate this day to highlight the scale of the ongoing humanitarian tragedy in Palestine.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian civilians, including children, women and the elderly, continue to suffer the consequences of acts described as “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” by international bodies and authorities. specialists in the subject.

The recent decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense minister, Yoav Gallant, marked an important step in holding those responsible for these crimes to account. massacres that the modern world is confronted with.

“The international day of solidarity with the Palestinian people is an opportunity for the Party of Progress and Socialism (PPS) to strongly denounce the continuation of this atrocious war waged by the occupation against the Palestinian people, in particular in Gaza,” PPS Secretary General Nabil Benabdellah told Hespress FR.

“This is an opportunity for us to reiterate to the world and to the Moroccan people how great is the extent of war crimes, crimes against humanity perpetrated by Israel. This is an opportunity to also focus on the perpetuation of Israeli aggression, in particular the almost total destruction of the Gaza sector, the famine situation in which it finds itself today,” he added.

And to recall that “the atrocious crimes perpetrated against children, women, the elderly, and all of this constituting, as has been said by a certain number of international organizations, war crimes and crimes against “humanity”, while emphasizing that “the International Criminal Court has decided to issue an arrest warrant for the two war criminals, who are (Israeli Prime Minister) Netanyahu and (former Israeli Minister of Defense) Gallant”.

For his part, Mohamed Jamal Bouzidi, president of the Moroccan Association to Support Reconstruction in Palestine, indicated that “international society is celebrating the Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian people, who are making every effort to have this right to noble life, alongside the Israeli people.”

“All Moroccans stand in solidarity with their Palestinian brothers, and first and foremost King Mohamed VI,” he said.

“And you saw his last letter to the UN, which was very strong, and which brought many very strong signals of solidarity with the Palestinian people,” he added, highlighting the aid sent by Morocco ordered by the sovereign, indicating that the Moroccan people “contributed with their means to help their brothers in Gaza and Palestine”.
