The Expo-Museum, a true gem for science lovers, presents a rich collection of meteorites, minerals and fossils, some of which belong to dinosaurs and other extinct species. All the meteorites on display come from different regions of Morocco, with the exception of a rare piece collected in China, illustrating the Kingdom’s major role as the world’s second destination for falling meteorites after Antarctica. Each specimen is named after the region where it was discovered, paying homage to Morocco’s unique geological heritage.

The museum also offers immersive attractions, such as an impact crater model, a suspended solar system, a frieze tracing Earth’s history, and themed photocalls on space missions and dinosaurs. A dedicated section highlights the contributions of Muslim scholars to astronomy, while a photo gallery exhibits the expeditions of the Attarik Foundation.

A Planetarium to dream under the stars

The Foundation’s Planetarium, with a capacity of 30 seats, captivated visitors with the 360° projection of the film “Between Earth and Sky… The Moon”. Produced by the Planetarium of the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in , this film, broadcast thanks to the support of the French Embassy in Morocco, delves into the mysteries of the Moon, our faithful natural satellite. The evening continued with a guided telescope observation, where the Moon, planets and stars revealed their secrets under a clear sky.

Since its official opening in October 2022, the Expo-Museum has welcomed more than 27,000 visitors, raising awareness of scientific discoveries among children and adults. Guided tours, led by scientific mediators, offer a unique opportunity for schools, from kindergarten to university, to delve into themes adapted to each level. These visits are enriched by screenings of educational films and fun activities, reinforcing the Foundation’s objective: making science accessible to all.

The second edition of this exhibition at Marina Shopping follows the success of the first, held at AnfaPlace Mall, where more than 15,000 visitors attended. With this renovated Planetarium and varied educational resources, the Attarik Foundation wants to promote Moroccan scientific heritage and share the passion for science with as many people as possible.
