Big problem in the Vendée Globe!

Second in the Vendée Globe ranking behind Charlie Dalin, Thomas Ruyant lost big after only fifteen days of racing…

The leading boats have been panicking the counters for several days. Taking advantage of the depression created off the coast of Brazil, no less than six boats beat the previous record established between Tuesday and Wednesday by Yoann Richomme aboard Paprec Arkéa (551.4 miles in 24 hours). If Charlie Dalin posted the best mark with 579.86 miles (1073.9 km) covered in 24 hours at the helm of Macif Santé Prévoyance, Thomas Ruyant and his Vulnerable were not left out with 572.4 miles.

In the rankings, the two boats are in the lead, Charlie Dalin still occupying first place with 45 miles ahead of Thomas Ruyant. In their wake, Yoann Richomme follows in third position, at 77 miles, while Sébastien Simon and Nicolas Lunven complete the Top 5 with respectively 110 and 121 miles spent.
