The “H” had the match in hand in (31-35)

On the occasion of the 12th day of Liqui Moly StarLigue, HBC took to the floor.

At the start of the game, Nantes were well caught on offensive play but recovered the balls from Dunkirk's hands, before scoring the first goal via Aymeric Minne (2' 0-1). At 6 meters, Nicolas Tournat did a lot of blocking work for his center half (7' 3-3). The Minne-Briet duo did well with a service to the millimeter (12' 5-5). The USDK took advantage of a hesitant “H” to take the lead (14' 7-5) but when it came to provoking the 7 meters, the purple pivot did not procrastinate (15' 7-6). Matej Gaber stopped a ball and sent Noam Leopold counter (20' 10-9). Thanks to their solid defense, the Nantes players were on target (20' 10-10) and took the lead (21' 10-11). Gaber's good work in the middle allowed his teammates to accelerate on the other side (25' 11-15). At the break, the “H” led 15-18.

The ball moved well between Thibaud Briet and Nicolas Tournat to reach Valero Rivera's wing (32' 16-19). The captain of the “H” was perfectly served by his partners (35' 17-20). As in the first period, the defense led by Gaber and Briet was dense (38' 19-23). The Nantais had the match well in hand, like a stratospheric Thibaud Briet in defense, who himself mounted his recovered balls and concluded them in front (42' 19-26). Double numerically inferior, the Nantais and in particular Ivan Pesic pushed the Dunkirk team into error (46' 21-27). 2x2min well negotiated by the “H” who did not concede (48' 21-27). Ayoub Abdi then Baptiste Bonnefond found the net (54' 26-30) but Dunkerque continued to hope (57' 29-32) with Tom Pelayo in charge (58' 30-33). HBC Nantes won 31-35 and came home with 2 more points.
