The case began with a trip off the road on February 10, 2023, and ended with him going to prison. Comedian Pierre Palmade has just been sentenced to five years in prison, including two years, for crashing into a car under the influence of cocaine while he was driving his Peugeot 3008 on a road in Seine-et -, inflicting serious injuries on the family on board. Mila, pregnant at the time of the events, had lost her baby six months into her pregnancy. Le Figaro reconstructs a life that will never be the same again after this fateful evening: “She was a guide for disabled students, he a mason. Boxes still packed, baby clothes just bought and then suddenly, a grave. Mila’s family plans were shattered.”

During the hearing, the victims faced a “haggard, staring into space” Pierre Palmade, reports Info, specifying that the man, who “has not reappeared publicly since the accident, made packed room during the hearing. Not a single centimeter of free bench with a hundred accredited journalists.” The notoriety of the accused largely explains this influx, whose audience is made up of relatives of the victims but also “simple curious people attracted by the media spotlight, like Sélim, who came to “discover” his first trial as a neighbor “with the added bonus of a star””, trial “which would have been tragically banal without the notoriety of the only defendant”, writes The Parisian.
