Casablanca – A batch of vehicles and motorcycles was handed over Monday in Casablanca to the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and National Security, as well as to the Regional Blood Transfusion Center (CRTS), on the occasion of the celebration of 69th anniversary of Independence Day.
This handover, the ceremony of which took place in the presence of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia, the president of the Council of the Casablanca-Settat region, Abdellatif Maâzouz and the vice-president of the City Council of Casablanca, Ahmed Afilal, is part of the partnership agreements signed on September 10 by the Council of the Casablanca-Settat region and the Municipality of Casablanca with a view to strengthening the vehicle fleet reserved for security interventions and emergencies medical.
This ceremony was also marked by the handing over of keys to butcher and grill premises and other kiosks based at Place Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah following its rehabilitation. The objective is to strengthen compliance with current hygiene and cleanliness standards.
In a statement to MAP, Mr. Maâzouz indicated that the delivery of this batch of vehicles and motorcycles is part of a partnership agreement with an envelope of around 18 million dirhams and this, with the aim of making law enforcement interventions more efficient as well as those concerning medical emergencies.
He specifies that there are a total of 29 vehicles for the benefit of the Royal Gendarmerie, 26 cars and 50 motorcycles for the National Security as well as three ambulances for the Regional Blood Transfusion Center.
This ceremony also took place in the presence of the Regional Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Prefect of Police of Casablanca, the director of the Regional Blood Transfusion Center, in addition to representatives of external services as well as civil and military personalities.
