“Mayy borom Ndakaarou.. Come dance Jazz with us…”

After fulfilling his civic duty by voting for the legislative elections, Abass Fall, leading figure of the opposition, took the floor to express his confidence in the victory of his coalition. During his statement, he did not mince his words, ensuring that he remained “the owner of Dakar”.

“We had entrusted Dakar to someone, and we are going to take it back,” said Abass Fall, referring to Barthélémy Dias, current mayor of the capital and his political rival, whom he described as the alleged “owner” of the city. The former candidate for mayor of Dakar then challenged his opponents by offering them “100,000 votes in advance”, while predicting that “even with this advantage, they will not be able to reach us”.
