It was a horrible road accident which occurred shortly before five a.m., in Gaillac (Tarn) this Sunday, November 17, 2024. Five people lost their lives in this terrible tragedy.

Four charred bodies

According to the Tarn prefecture, the vehicle hit a tree. Upon their arrival on the RD988site of the accident, the Tarn firefighters discovered four charred victims inside their vehicle. They put out the fire.

Victim ejected from vehicle

A fifth victim, a young man of 20 years oldhad been ejected from the vehicle. He was in cardiac arrest when help arrived, his death was pronounced on scene. In a press release sent mid-morning, the Tarn prefecture indicated that the identity of the victims had still not been established.

Firefighters, gendarmes, Smur d'Albi, Tarn departmental council services and Gaillac town hall officials were present on site.
