The Montreal Canadiens were on the ice at the Bell Center this morning for his morning practice in preparation for their game this evening at 7 p.m.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are on the menu, arriving in Montreal after playing last night as well.
Note that all the regular players jumped on the ice this morning for this training, except one.
Indeed, Brendan Gallagher was entitled to a day of treatments this morning.
The CH number 11 was therefore not present to take his usual repetitions on the third line with Christian Dvorak and Josh Anderson.
It was Rafael Harvey-Pinard who took Gallagher’s place in training.
RHP once again skated with his teammates with a regular jersey, as he did earlier this week.
He is therefore really getting closer to a return to play, which could happen as early as next week.
It’s not impossible that we see him in the lineup today, but chances are Gallagher will play tonight, and RHP was just filling the empty spot.
As for the full roster, let’s wait and see what Martin St-Louis has in store for us, same thing for the starting goalie.
UPDATE: Justin Barron will take Jayden Struble’s place and Samuel Montembeault will be in net.
CH will try to win a 6th game this season, while another team that is struggling this season will be in town.
